Tribu K' Mindanaoan Workshop for BB 163 Kids

The children of Bantay Bata Children's Home were invited to play an important part of the presentation… They were given a 3-day workshop to immerse themselves in the Mindanaoan culture and learn ethnic dances…

The children were more than eager to enjoy themselves in the rhythm of kulintang, agong and various authentic instruments…

"Ang mga sayaw na itinuro namin sa mga bata ay mga sayaw especially sa Moro Dances like Maguindanao and Tausug..."

In the theatrical presentation, the children outdid themselves in showcasing their graceful movements and were rewarded with a thundering appreciation from the audience.

For the Children by the Children...

A surprise came for Bantay Bata as a teacher from the Ateneo de Davao Grade School dropped by the office, and with her cartons and bags full of goodies intended for the kids of Children's Home…

All these donations was through the efforts of the Grade 2 pupils of Ateneo de Davao, as they saved clothes, toys and food for two weeks, generously thinking of their fellow children who might need these more…

"The kids committed for a help para sa daw sa mga bantay bata na nasa shelter. We gathered these for two weeks… We have all these stuffs and we are actually committing things pa for bantay bata which will be scheduled next year."

Surely these efforts are intended give us hope for these children who have been instilled with the virtue of charity, and Bantay Bata is grateful for their little generous hearts ready to give happiness to their fellow children.
